The Polar Lounge Island by Karimoku New Standard—designed by Moritz Schlatter—is a minimalist lounge seating island that brings calm, sculptural elegance to modern interiors. Built with sustainably sourced Japanese oak and firm, yet soft upholstery, it features gentle rounded forms that create a serene and inviting presence in lounges, waiting areas, co-working spaces, museums, and residential living spaces.

Part of the acclaimed Polar collection, the Island variant is designed with a lower seat height to foster relaxed lounging and social seating. Its balanced proportions and refined craftsmanship embody the Japandi aesthetic, combining the simplicity of Japanese design with contemporary comfort and function.

This versatile piece is well-suited for both private and contract interiors, offering durable upholstery options, including premium textiles, and a refined oak frame that complements a wide range of interior styles.
