Conceived by Pritzker-winning architect Toyo Ito, this lamp embodies the delicate beauty of a cocoon—woven through glass-fiber filaments meticulously spun around a mold to create translucent, organic layers.

Featuring a triple-shelled design, the Mie variant enhances the visual depth and emits soft, diffused light reminiscent of traditional Japanese bonbori lanterns. Ideal as a floor lamp or placed on a low table, it suits living rooms, lounges, or entryways that embrace both modern Western and Japanese aesthetics .

Crafted in Japan, the lamp stands at 500 mm tall with a 500 mm diameter, and weighs approximately 1.6 kg. The frame is constructed from aluminum or steel paired with a white fiberglass shade; a black (MA Black) version is also available 

Powered by a single E27 LED bulb (max 8 W)—you can opt for a warm-toned bulb to enhance its gentle, atmospheric luminance.
