Mayuhana Yugami Floor Light by Yamagiwa

Designed by Toyo Ito, the Pritzker Prize-winning Japanese Architect, and handcrafted by renowned Japanese lighting manufacturer Yamagiwa, the Mayuhana Yugami floor light is a sculptural masterpiece that evokes a poetic sense of tranquility. Inspired by the organic geometry of a silkworm cocoon, its form is created by layering ultra-fine glass fiber threads into a subtly warped, asymmetrical shape—each one unique in its expression.

The result is a delicate, diffused glow that casts soft shadows and brings a meditative warmth to any space, whether in a modern home, a serene tatami room, or a contemporary lounge. The outer shell gently refracts the inner light, creating a layered luminosity that is both functional and artistic.
