KOKE AREA RUG

Koke is a hand woven area rug by Westhill Interiors, woven from natural jute in its own undyed colour. The name is Japanese for moss. There is no dyed pattern and no bright shade, just the quiet tan of the fibre, which is why it sits so easily in a wood-furnished room.

The weave is tight and old-fashioned in the best sense: a low, even texture that you notice underfoot more than across the room. It is comfortable without trying to be soft like wool, and it is made to be used for a long time. There is no formaldehyde in the material.

Either side can face up. When you are not using it, fold it or roll it and put it away. It does not need a special colour choice. The jute is the colour.

Koke comes as a round, an oval, or a rectangle. Price follows the shape and the size.
